A westerner

Rules for life in Idaho, Nevada, Montana, Colorado, Texas,Oklahoma, Utah, Wyomingand the rest of the "Wild West" are as follows:
1. Pull your pants up. You look like an idiot.
2. Turn your cap right, your head ain't crooked.
3. Let's get this straight: it's called a "gravel road." I drive a pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you're gonna get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way.
4. They are cattle. That's why they smell to you. They smell like money to us. Get over it. Don't like it? I-80 goes east and west, I-15 goes north and south. Pick one.
5. So you have a $60,000 car. We're impressed. We have $250,000 combines that are driven only 3 weeks a year.
6. Every person in the Wild West waves. It's called being friendly. Try to understand the concept.
7. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of pheasants/ducks/doves are comin' in during the hunts, we WILL shoot it outta your hand. You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time.
8. Yeah. We eat trout, salmon, deer and elk. You really want sushi and caviar? It's available at the corner bait shop.
9. The "Opener" refers to the first day of deer season. It's a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.
10. We open doors for women. That's applied to all women, regardless of age.
11. No, there's no "vegetarian special" on the menu. Order steak, or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham & turkey.
12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and ketchup! Oh, yeah.... We don't care what you folks in Cincinnati call that stuff you eat... IT AIN'T REAL CHILI!!
13. You bring "Coke" into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice. You bring "Mary Jane" into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.
14. College and High School Football is as important here as the Lakers and the Knicks, and a dang site more fun to watch.
15. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards -- it spooks the fish.
16. Colleges? We have them all over. We have State Universities, and Vo-techs. They come outta there with an education plus a love for God and country, and they still wave at everybody when they come home for the holidays.
17. We have more folks in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines than all of you put together, so don't mess with us. If you do, you'll get whipped by the best.
18. Turn down that blasted car stereo! That thumpity-thump crap ain't music, anyway. We don't want to hear it anymore than we want to see your boxers! Refer back to #1!

Because I said sorry......

As most of you know I have a favorite Blog.....And I would some times post things from her site on mine.
I got a email from Dawn, from because I said so.

Hello,
It was brought to my attention that you'd copied posts from my blog without my permission. I understand that maybe you didn't realize it's plagiarism to take copyrighted work from another person. Some oft he material from my blog is also in my book and if you don't remove the posts you've copied, my publisher will have to get involved.Thank you for your cooperation.
Dawn

My intent was NOT to plagiarize. I think most of you....Or the people that I know who are reading my blog, know that I will post emails I get or things that I find are funny. So I just started posting some of her stuff on my blog and I would write "because I said so...." on the post. I have removed all of her works. And I applogize.

All of the posts on the blog are mine, with the occasional funny email.

Dirt roads

What's mainly wrong with society today is that too many Dirt Roads have been paved.
There's not a problem in America today, crime, drugs, education, divorce, delinquency that wouldn't be remedied, if we just had more Dirt Roads, because Dirt Roads give character.

People that live at the end of Dirt Roads learn early on that life is a bumpy ride. That it can jar you right down to your teeth sometimes, but it's worth it, if at the end is home...a loving spouse, happy kids and a dog.

We wouldn't have near the trouble with our educational system if our kids got their exercise walking a Dirt Road with other kids, from whom they learn how to get along.

There was less crime in our streets before they were paved.
Criminals didn't walk two dusty miles to rob or rape, if they knew they'd be welcomed by 5 barking dogs and a double barrel shotgun.
And there were no drive by shootings.

Our values were better when our roads were worse!

People did not worship their cars more than their kids, and motorists were more courteous, they didn't tailgate by riding the bumper or the guy in front would choke you with dust & bust your windshield with rocks.

Dirt Roads taught patience.

Dirt Roads were environmentally friendly, you didn't hop in your car for a quart of milk you walked to the barn for your milk.

For your mail, you walked to the mail box.

What if it rained and the Dirt Road got washed out? That was the best part, then you stayed home and had some family time, roasted marshmallows and popped popcorn and pony rode on Daddy's shoulders and learned how to make prettier quilts than anybody.

At the end of Dirt Roads, you soon learned that bad words tasted like soap.

Most paved roads lead to trouble, Dirt Roads more likely lead to a fishing creek or a swimming hole.

At the end of a Dirt Road, the only time we even locked our car was in August, because if we didn't some neighbor would fill it with too much zucchini.

At the end of a Dirt Road, there was always extra springtime income, from when city dudes would get stuck, you'd have to hitch up a team and pull them out.
Usually you got a dollar...always you got a new friend...at the end of a Dirt Road!

Before I was a Mom.......

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on.Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom - I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom -I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Play dough.....and OCD.....you be the judge.

Do your kids play with play dough? I think I have OCD.

NO REALLY SERIOUSLY!

Does it bother you when play dough gets mixed? This makes me CrAzY! Ok so with 4 kids under 6, the play dough is bound to get mixed. Right? I try to prepare myself for the mixing before we even start. I say to myself "its only playdough, their having fun, It is OK" But half with through the playing I feel the urge to scream, I start to twitch, and pretty much I want to throw away all of the mixed play dough. ALL OF IT!

I cringe at the sight of this........Pink mixed with yellow............
Ok so besides the MESS, of which I can clean. (with help from the monsters)My kids have fun...........That is the important part right? Hannah made a snail and a hamburger (of which she tried to eat, she told me that " it tastes like my boogers Mommy").This is Gracie's Banana split and her ice cream cone (she had ice cream on the brain all DAY, My morning as follows: "can I have ice cream?" NO, maybe later," Is it later NOW" NO! NO....... Ice cream at 9 am, those are the rules!?)Brodie made a car, (of which you dont see because...... he threw it across the room....... at his sister...............who then smashed it......... and then the drama started..................crying..... fits .......and hitting................. and ...........this is why we stopped playing with the Play dough today.)

Oh the joys.......

I like these.....SOME more than others.

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while youwalk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. Record your late night shows and get more sleep.
4. When you wake up in the morning complete thefollowing statement, 'My purpose is to____ today.'
5. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, andEmpathy.
6. Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than you did in 2007.
7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, tai chi, andprayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Clear your clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
14. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannotcontrol. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fadeaway like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
16. Eat breakfast like a king or queen, lunch like aprince or princess and dinner like a college kid.
17. *Smile and laugh more*. It will keep the energy vampires away.
18. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
23. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
24. Burn the candles, use the nice bed sheets, Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "In five years, will this matter?"
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. What other people think of you is none of your business .
29. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.
30. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. So stop complaining about the weather, the job, the rents, etc., etc.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick.Your friends will. Stay in touch.
32. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
33. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
34. The best is yet to come.
35. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and showup.
36. Do the right thing!
37. Call your family often.
38. Each night before you go to bed complete thefollowing statements: "I am thankful for ___ and today I accomplished____."
39. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
40. Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not DisneyWorld and you certainly don't want a fast pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.

I am so there! We should plan a trip!

60. How did you get one of your scars? I have a circle scar right in between my eyes. I had a friend that kept putting a stick in the fire, and then she would wave it in the air. Well, she missed the air and hit me right in between the eyes.

This will be my kids in a few years......

Oh they cute........... but they are.......OHHHHH........SOOOOO......Naughty!!!!!

Two little boys, ages 8 and 10, were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew all about it. If any mischief occurred in their town, the two boys were probably involved. The boys' mother heard that a preacher in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys.

The preacher agreed, but he asked to see them individually. So the mother sent the 8 year old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the preacher in the afternoon.

The preacher, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly,

"Do you know where God is, son?" The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there wide-eyed with his mouth hanging open. So the preacher repeated the question in an even sterner tone, '

"Where is God?!"

Again, the boy made no attempt to answer.

The preacher raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed,

"Where is God?!"

The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked,

"What happened?" The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied,

"We are in BIG trouble this time,"

"GOD is missing, and they think we did it!"

Leave it up to the "Wolfley Kids" to steal God!
