For the love of canning!!!

Oh for the love of canning..My garden is coming!!!! I have tomatoes, brocoilli, cauliflower, peppers, corn(not yet),Pumpkins, Lettuce, spinich, Fennel, carrotts, Pea's (oh holy... I have peas) It is soooo much fun. I have decied that a greenhouse is truley in my future..Because this is such a high.
( it may look like a weed patch but truley things are growing in there!!!!)

I love the fact that my family is eating what we grew....and planted as a family. My kids are having so much fun going out to check each day what is new. They are eating everything and loving it. Weeding is another story...

I have a few tom-toes that are good softball size and a few peppers that are coming up.

And oh holy I've got peas.....Good thing my kids LOVE them. These ones are about to be pulled up to see if I can get more in before snow starts.....Maybe I can get some to freeze....
I have romas brewing and onions that are looking so yummy ready to be salsa-fied.

Here are a few pumpkins that planted them selves and I did not have the heart to pull up!Its fun to find plants that I did not even plant!!!

Thank you HF for the weeds with the veggies.....

Good news.....

Mike has been at his new job for almost a week now!!!! He is working for The bonneville school District 93, full time, year round, Salaried, as the Head grounds. He is over all 18 schools, including the Idaho falls sports complex, plus over 21 employees. Its sorta a big deal, he beat out 56 people to get this postion. The pay is liveable, but the benifits rock! We are very excited and grateful for this!!!

And the same day we got the job.....the YW in my ward did a surprise service project and weeded my garden. Thank you girls....

OK Lord, you do have a great sence of humor and timing to boot...... I am humbled...

Happy birthday Brodie!

My little boy turned 4..... what is happening???

So truthfully this year I wasn't prepared.....I thought I'd do this or that....I thought I would bake him a birthday cake and I didn't.....But despite my unpreparedness....(for more than one reason) We ended up at leos on family night enjoying some really good chocloate cake with some really good friends.
My good friend Kami.....
(nice picture.... and NO I WILL NOT POST THE ONE YOU TOOK OF ME, you take the most horrifiying pictures of me!!! Where did you learn such an art?)
Her husband Mike and my Mike, looking so happy to be there!
All of their 5 kids, plus our 5 kids = enough kids for our own birthday party without even sending out invitations!
Kami's kids eat like my kids do.....Messy..... I love it! He got a remote control truck which require BATTERIES KAMI!!!! he has now been bugging me everyday 20 times a day to open it and then to go to the store to buy batteries!!!!
And sugar...of course....Kami wouldn't be Kami if she didn't have some kinda candy with in a 2 foot radis....but the thoughtful gal she is made sure to buy us the sugar free kind!
Brodies favorite thing right now is tranformers and hot wheels...funny how the trends keep comeing around. I mean I could just give Brodie all of his daddies old stuff...only if he would part with any of it!
Happy Birthday my big 4 year old!!! We love you!!!

He's getting big soooo fast!!!

To tell you the truth this summer has flown by so fast and my little guy is growing so big so fast...I really feel a little sad.....I am really hopeing I am cherishing these moments enough..... Because the next time I will have these moments with my own kids will be my grand kids.
Sorta sad to think about...
He has gotta a little easier to deal with...he has been a hard baby for me...Whats with these Wolfley men being so needy I mean Really??? :)But I have started to find my way with him a little better. He loves his mommy and he loves to snuggle and he loves to smile! He is super tickleish and loves his brother and sisters..But really has a thing for Hannah....

My 4 month old has grown so fast he is wearing clothes from my 12 month summer box!!! Crazy!! He is really strong and can keep up with all of his daddies antics....

And he has just started giggleing.....I started to cry after he did this.....just so cute..I love it!

You'll have to go down and turn off the music so you can hear him (I mean if you dont already..:))

Happy 4th!!!

This year we had hoped that we would head down to Utah and hang out with the fam for the 4th. Last year we had so much fun, so this year I was pretty disappointed that we weren't able to go and I sorta felt like this year wouldn't be much fun.
BUT I WAS WRONG........I shoulda known that being in such a small town that there would be something fun to do. A friend of mine told us about the Menan 4th celebration and how much fun her family has had...PLUS how cheap everything is!

So that Morning we headed out about 9am. Now 9 am is early for my family to be out of the house, dressed, Lunches and snacks packed and prepared for anything.....But we made it!!! First we hit the family breakfast! CHEAP and YUMMY!!!! It was a beautiful day, and we got to sit around and drool over the Softball games...ONE DAY....ONE DAY.....we to again will play!!! But it was fun and by the time my kids got to the breakfast they were truly hungry and chowed down. The kids had time to play and find a few trees to climb!!!

Like I said cheap.....they had tractor rides, bouncy houses, fishing games, face painting....all ranging from .25cent to a dollar!!! The lady driving the tractor was so impressed by the kids....she said they just screamed go faster...and they weren't scared at all.....
We got some .50 cent slush's...just the right size!
We relaxed on a blanket and listened to the band play!

Then, what I thought was the funniest thing ever!!!

They had potato sack races, wheel barrow races....

They had these foot races starting at age 2.....and ending with grandmas and grandpas!!!
Let me tell you that are some tough Grandparents out there! Some that woulda whooped me!

Each of the kids that ran got a treat....and the older peole got .50 cents!
Everyone was such a good sport!!

Then after that they had a parade!!!!! oh the joy and fun!!!!
They also had duck races! where MY duck won!!!!!!!! woot woot....ohhhh yah!!
I got a camo real tree hat (only in Idaho) and a 20 dollar gift certificate!!!
Later that night they had a big fireworks display and this was our back drop...... Straight country....no big buildings, no huge crowds......I love it....

All of this fun for under 20 bucks.....and came home with $25 and a hat....Not to shabby!!!

A day few words can describe....

One day while I thought my kids were doing this....

I found that they were not.....

I found instead this....

and this....

Which lead me here....

Where I found this.... Which sent me on a search for this....
Which started my wheel in motion to do this....
And the good idea that google had to do this....
Not such a good idea...... In the mean time my kids did this......
Well more that she did this.....

The other two walked around and took pictures of this...

UNTILL they took a picture of this.....(note: blurry fast movement of running away)

Untill I gotted iths.....Beated iths....and sent iths....

Here.....
..
the other two, The not so smart 2 year old and the smart 5 year old that tried to clean up the mess, also being the one that also made sure her face was not in any of the pictures....and was sure to tell me that was her proof......WELL, lets just say they got what they deserved....
(Note: no pictures were taken of that)
minus number 1, she was the only innocent party...
